Networking at the Mining Expo

Posted: 04 Sep 2023Category: Operations

Bachmus participated in the annual Mining Expo, hosted by the Chamber of Mines. This year the expo attracted some 150 exhibitors, representing various Namibian mines and services providers in the fields engineering, surveying, logistics, finance, insurance, industrial cleaning, safety wear, rigging, chemical analysis, earthmoving and mining equipment suppliers, fuel and oil providers and many other innovative products and services related to the mining industry. The expo took place over two days and by all accounts saw more than 5,000 people visiting the various exhibits.

Apart from allowing suppliers and mines to showcase their products and services, the expo remains a a good networking platform and the ideal opportunity for business leads and catching up with clients and attracting new ones. The expo also featured a conference about mining trends and changes. This year the theme was: "Namibia's role in the sustainable supply of minerals to support the global energy transition" and included topics such as Namibia' Mining Policy, Investments, Innovation and Sustainable Practices, the Mining Lifecyle and Nuclear energy in the global energy transition and implications for Namibia’s uranium sector.

The Bachmus stand attracted a good number of visitors who showed interest in the company's fuel and oil services and products. A competition was held during the two days at the stand and the lucky winner of the Delo Toolbox giftset was Michael Abbot from CT Hydraulics and Engineering.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stall at the expo!
