The Namibia Institute of Architects (NIA) hosts the Namibia Architecture Awards of Merit biennially, creating a platform to recognize and promote excellence in architecture by adjudicating and showcasing our members’ work.

These Awards of Merit represent a significant event in the architectural calendar, embodying core values and functions of the NIA. Beyond simply acknowledging architectural achievements, they foster a continuous dialogue on architectural issues and enhance public awareness of the discipline's importance.

We extend heartfelt congratulations to Waldo Krogh of Howard Krogh Architects for receiving the Award of Commendation at the 2024 Namibia Institute of Architects Merit Awards. We are particularly proud to highlight the Bachmus Depot in Walvis Bay, designed by Waldo Krogh, which garnered this prestigious award.
